Bazeport 18 April 2016

When we started planning the BazePort version 6.5 we knew this version would be dedicated to improve the many options our users have to publish content on their own.

We took a significant step in BazePort 6 when we introduced Info Channels, now we go even further.

The goal was best in class publishing on an IPTV system from anywhere on any connected device. We believe we have reached a milestone with this release. Below is 4 highlights we want to share with you:

INTRODUCING MEDIA ASSETS

Media Assets is a new application in the publishing section of BazePort Management Studio. It makes management of media assets and publishing content as easy as you expect it to be. Assets is the common word for all media you want to publish to your BazePort IPTV system. Media Assets is a new application in BazePort Management Studio – under the Publish section.

• Upload content types like Video, PowerPoint, WWW, PDF, Streams and Pictures

• Sort content in types, and names, by groups and origin.

• Create folders to organise your content.

AUTO PUBLISH USING DATE AND TIME

A most wanted update has been to publish using date. With version 6.5 you can use date and time stamp in several part of the Publish section.

  • Pre-set date for Info Channel and Info Portal publish
  • Pre-set date for publish of a single media assets amongst many in Info Channel
  • Plan ahead for your upcoming information

AUTOSTART USING GPS POSITION

Autostart for Forced Content can be a very powerful tool for vessels that visits ports on route, or cruise vessels passing destinations, for scheduled activities or safety information for ferries when leaving or arriving at port.

Set a GPS position/area by simply drag and click in Google maps. Select if the content shall be played when sailing into or out of the area, playback once or continuously, for all or a selected group of users / screens.

Imagine what you can do with this!

NEW SET-TOP BOX and REMOTE CONTROL

BazePort 6.5 also includes hardware news. The small CT-2151 has been redesigned, and it looks great.

So small it will fit in the palm of your hand, yet powerfull enough for Full HD performance and built in WiFi.

CT-2151 also comes with a new smaller remote control, redesigned with essential buttons only. It also includes a wall mount bracket and smaller power supply. What a package!
