For the maritime BazePort customers, we introduce a remake of BazePort Vessel on Map module.

The Vessel on Map solution is, in real-time, tracking the Vessel and displaying an image of it on a map. The module presents vessel position data, nautical charts, and sailing and weather data. 

The administrator can choose the layout and parameters to be presented to end-users.

The solution is based on NMEA data interface.

We have made a standardized presentation where you, as an administrator, can select between the following data to be presented either on the top bar or sidebar: time, speed, course, water temperature, wind speed, wind compass, water depth, weather.

You may not want to bring too much attention to weather parameters that may be found distrubing to your BazePort audience, like high wind speeds. We have made it possible to set a maximum (and minimum) value for certain parameters: wind, depth, speed.

CONFIGURE THE PARAMETERS

In BazePort Management Studio Configure, you can configure the Vessel on Map module settings under System Settings.

The Vessel on Map layout can be configured in several ways. The vessel icon can be scaled, and up to 5 zoom levels can be defined. In addition, the style for the side- and topbar can be customized.

The Vessel on Map application requires a separate MiniPC, with the NMEA signal as input. The output stream needs to be run through a BazePort Digital Encoder via an HDMI interface and is made available together with TV channels for BazePort end users.
