When adding data from a third party, you will need to adapt and style the data to your Slide. This is how the data get their design and comes together with the rest of your slide. Data from an API may be presented in different formats, depending on the destination.

This feature requires skill-level advanced

When you add inputs from an external API to a Slide, the data must be styled to look good. For this purpose, we have added an editor that puts you in complete control. Below is an example of the use of an external JSON API. We have created a simple Slide and then added flight schedule data from an external API.

This is the result.The orange background indicates which fields that holds data from the external source/API.

If you click inside the field holding the data from the external source, in our example flight data, you will get a result that looks something like the picture below. This is the data received. The editor will help us format the data using EJS.

THE CODE EDITOR

When editing a slide, the menu item </> Code editor will open the editor. Coders will recognize the interface. 

Here you can add and edit a style template, check the input data and edit the labels, and check the HTML output. With this tool, you control how the data is displayed on your Slide.
